Post-Op Departure Pack
In light of the often cold and impersonal hospital experience these days, I chose to touch the hearts of patients recovering after orthopedic surgeries. I created personalized hospital "departure packs" to provide patients with comfort and security in the days after the operation; in addition, the packs included clear, uncomplicated instructions for continued care at home. The design is intended to hark back to the romantic days of medicine in the 1950s – when candy stripers roamed the hospital and medical packaging was bright and friendly – and bring some of that warmth back into today's hospitals.
