2016 Invitation Design
Books for Kids
Books for Kids is a not-for-profit organization that promotes literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children. Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and implements literacy programs to develop the critical early foundation and skills which young children need to be successful in life. I designed this invitation suite and program for Books for Kids' Spring 2014 event, "The Magic of Books," which honored the Mario Batali Foundation for its commitment to early childhood literacy. The hand drawn illustrations were inspired by environmental graphics found in Batali's libraries. The event took place at Batali's restaurant, Otto Enoteca Pizzeria in New York City. www.booksforkids.org/
